Three teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 10:24 p.m. on Friday along Morea Road in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Damian C. Streisel, 19, of Mahanoy City, was driving a 1996 Plymouth Breeze eastbound when he lost control while negotiating a left hand curve. The vehicle went onto the south berm where Streisel over steered counter-clockwise, back across both lanes of travel and onto the north berm where the vehicle struck a tree with its passenger side, then overturned onto the tree. The vehicle came to rest on its roof facing north.

Streisel was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital, troopers said. Two passengers, a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, were also injured. Troopers did not indicate which medical facility they were taken to. The vehicle was towed.

Troopers said Streisel was cited for the crash. Assisting troopers were volunteers from West End Fire Company of Mahanoy City and Shenandoah EMS unit.
