Police sources: Vehicle stolen by fugitive who threatened Trump found in Hometown Walmart lot

Police officers have found a vehicle in the parking lot of the Hometown Walmart which is believed to have been stolen by fugitive Shawn Christy.

Christy, 27, of McAdoo, who has threatened violence against President Donald Trump and other government officials, has been on the run since June, when a federal warrant was issued.

A local police source confirmed that the vehicle stolen by Christy was found at Walmart in Hometown.

On Monday, Christy was believed to have stolen a 1997 GMC Sierra pickup with license plate ZGL-2845 from a location in Maryland.

The truck was stolen in the area where Christy was last seen in Maryland, and he is believed to be responsible.

The store where the vehicle was reportedly found is less than six miles from his hometown of McAdoo.

Christy was previously responsible for stealing a Jeep Cherokee from Kentucky, which was later found in West Virginia. The day after the vehicle was found, Christy was spotted near Cumberland, Maryland.

Christy reportedly threatened Trump and Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli in social media posts.

Officials with the U.S. Marshals Service would not confirm the vehicle was found this morning, but said they would have more information later today.

A reward of up to $20,000 is being offered for information leading to Christy’s arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the U.S. Marshals at 1-877-Wanted-2.
