Man pleads guilty to DUI

A Nesquehoning man has pleaded guilty in Schuylkill County court to driving under the influence while his license was suspended.

Max Gasker, 41, was charged by Schuylkill Haven police on Nov. 13, 2015.

Judge James P. Goodman sentenced him to 92 hours to six months in jail, with parole immediately after Gasker serves the 72 hours. Goodman gave him credit for the 44 days he’s already served.

Goodman also fined Gasker $1,000 on the DUI charge and $200 on the driving with a suspended license charge.

Gasker will surrender his driver’s license for one year.

Goodman also ordered Gasker to obtain a mental health evaluation, complete the Alcohol Highway Safety School, enroll in and successfully complete outpatient treatment, and perform 10 hours of community service.
