A man was seriously injured Friday night when involved in a crash along Route 309 in McAdoo.

The crash occurred just after 9 p.m. as he was traveling north just entering the borough.

His vehicle entered the right berm mowing down several signs before hitting a utility pole headon.

Upon impact the vehicle burst into flames.

The victim was freed from the blaze and transported to a local trauma center. The four lanes of Route 309 were reduced to one alternating lane. The McAdoo fire company responded. McAdoo police are investigating the incident.
