One injured in Route 93 rollover

A man was taken to the hospital after his truck rolled over on Route 93.

Around 2 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, Nesquehoning and Jim Thorpe fire departments, Lehighton ALS, and Nesquehoning ambulance were dispatched to Hunter Street, approximately one mile past the entrance to the prison for a rollover MVA with injury.

According to reports from the scene, the driver of the white Chevy pickup truck was driving on top of Route 93 heading south when he tried passing another vehicle and lost control hitting trees which lead to the rollover.

He extricated himself and was taken to St. Luke's Miners campus by Lehighton ALS.
