• Emmanuel UCC, Hamilton Street in Bowmanstown, 7-8:30 p.m. July 31 to Aug. 3. The program is Psalm 23: We are His Sheep and is open to children and adults. The public is invited. We will have puppets, crafts, stories and snacks. For more information, call Judy at 610-852-2152.

• Lighthouse Baptist VBS invites your kids to grab their megaphones, lace up their cleats, and tune up their instruments. From 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 1-5. VBS Sunday classes at 10 a.m. and VBS Sunday morning rally at 11 a.m. As they fill up the offensive line, sideline, and drum line, your players, cheerleaders, and band members will realize God has given them His ultimate playbook. • Bethany Wesleyan Church will host a Vacation Bible School in Lehighton’s Grove Park, 200 S. Seventh St., from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 6-8 for children ages 3 years to sixth grade. Aug. 8 will conclude with a pool party finale from noon to 2 p.m. The theme is AMPED: Live Fully Alive! and registration is available at http://bethanywes.org/upcoming-events.

• Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, Registration forms are available in the church office or can be downloaded at tlclehighton.com. “Splash Canyon: God’s Promise on Life’s Wild Ride” is 6:30-8:30 p.m. Aug. 6-10, for children ages 3 through sixth grade. There is no registration fee. Teen and adult volunteers are welcome to help; please contact the church office.

• St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 826 Mahoning Drive West, Lehighton, will host Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus, from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 12-16. There will be classes for preschool through adult. Each evening they will use Bible stories, songs and lots of fun activities to learn how Jesus rescues us. • St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Summit Hill is hosting VBS from 6-8:15 p.m. Aug. 13-17 at the church located at 123 W. White St. The VBS theme will be The Highest Power. Weather permitting a group will spend one day at the Environmental Center in Jim Thorpe. On Aug. 17 there will be a closing ceremony and all friends and families are welcome to attend. Participants must RSVP with the child’s name and age before the first day to ensure space availability. Children ages 4 to fifth grade are welcome to enroll.
