July 26, 1962 — Pat Davidson knocks in seven runs to lead the Tamaqua Teener All-Stars to an 8-4 victory over Hazleton in the District 7 playoffs. Davidson drives in his first run with a ground out in the first inning. With his team trailing in the second frame, he drills a three-run double to give Tamaqua the lead for good. Davidson adds to his total in the sixth with a bases-loaded triple. Buddy Donald earns the pitching win and helps his own cause with two hits and two runs scored. The winners, coached by Dick Jones, also receives two hits and three runs from Bobby Fritzinger.
