Coaldale Police file drug charges

After receiving the results of blood tests taken earlier this year, Coaldale Police have filed charges in several incidents.

• Jose Luis Santiago, 46, of West Water Street, Coaldale, was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to use a turn signal. He was stopped at 9:36 p.m. on March 23 and taken to St. Luke’s Miners Hospital for a blood draw. The results were positive for marijuana and cocaine.

• Angelo Maldonado, 48, of Pitt Street, Tamaqua, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, driving with a suspended license and driving a vehicle without valid inspection. He was stopped at 11 p.m. on March 17 and taken to St. Luke’s Miners for blood tests. The tests were positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine and marijuana.

• Jacqueline Marie Dolly, 23, of Penn Street, Tamaqua, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana after a traffic stop on June 3. Officers stopped a red Ford Taurus at 2:57 p.m. and were given permission to search the vehicle. They discovered a metal pipe with marijuana residue, a syringe, a rolled up dollar bill with white residue and two white waxed bags with suspected heroin residue. The items were all in the possession of Dolly.
