Jim Thorpe’s Connie Mack baseball team will be participating in the state championship playoffs, which start Thursday at Limeport Stadium.

The team, managed by Pat Joyce, will open the double-elimination tournament against Hellertown. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.

If Thorpe wins Thursday’s contest, it will face Deep Run on Saturday at 5 p.m. A loss in the first round would send the club into a loser’s bracket contest on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

All games of the tourney will take place at Limeport, with the championship game(s) slated for Saturday, July 28.
