Four people were injured in a three-vehicle crash that occurred at 11:29 a.m. on Sunday at Route 443 at the entrance to Renninger’s Market in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Diane J. Fritz, 74, of Auburn, was driving a 2009 Buick Lucerne westbound while Christopher J. Fisher, 29, of Orwigsburg, was eastbound driving a 2009 Ford F-150 pickup.

At the same time, Scott L. Deibert, 52, of Valley View, was driving a 2007 Ford Escape and leaving the parking lot of Renninger’s Market. As Deibert exited the lot, the front of Fisher’s truck hit the right passenger’s side of Fritz’s Buick. After impact the Buick traveled through the parking lot, along a grass embankment and struck two metal posts and guide wire, where it came to rest.

After impact the Ford traveled about 46 feet in a northeast direction and struck Deibert’s Ford Escape on the left side. After that impact the F150 continued through the parking lot and came to rest facing southwest. The Escape remained at the point of impact.

Fritz and her passenger, James E. Fritz, 76, Deibert and his passenger, Mary J. Deibert, 48, were all injured and taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital East, Pottsville Campus. Fisher was not injured.

Troopers did not indicate if anyone was cited for the crash.
