Tamaqua police citations

Tamaqua Police released information on several recent arrests.

• A 14-year-old girl was charged with possession of marijuana on June 8 and 9 after she was found smoking pot in two different locations.

• Christopher White, 31, of 295 High St., Tamaqua, was charged with driving with a suspended license after he drove a blue Polaris ATV on Spruce Street on June 8. White told the officer he was only going for gas and was reminded that it’s illegal to drive the ATV on a borough street.

A records check found that White’s driver’s license is suspended,

He also faces charges of driving without insurance, a valid inspection and registration.

• Nicole Baer, 30, of 114 Green St., Tamaqua, was charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in connection with a domestic dispute on June 16.

Officers saw Baer chasing a man on Spruce Street at 1:50 a.m., yelling and screaming. She fought with officers when they tried to restrain her.

• Paul J. Ventilli, 37, of Mount Carmel, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after he locked himself in the rest room of a Tamaqua mini mart on June 18. Store personnel called police after Ventilli didn’t respond to their attempts to contact him, suspecting he might have overdosed.

He did respond once officers arrived and was found to have a syringe and three bundles of wax bags containing a white powder.
