Nesquehoning, Hauto and New Columbus fire companies, along with Lehighton ALS, responded to a motor vehicle crash with injury and entrapment at 4 p.m. Friday.

The crash occurred near the St. John’s Orthodox Cemetery, along Route 209.

Carbon County Sheriff Deputies were driving past the scene and stopped finding the patient in the vehicle.

They pulled him from the vehicle and performed CPR.

A Luzerne County Ambulance happened to be passing the scene and also stopped to give the patient medical attention.

The patient was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital-Miner’s Campus for treatment.
