Lehighton graduate Jacen Nalesnik recently had a good start to his career in Canada’s Intercounty Baseball League.
Playing for the London Majors, the former Times News Baseball Player of the Year, has had multiple hits in all three games he’s played.
In his debut this past Friday, the Lehigh University grad played left field and went 3-for-5 with a walk. One of his hits was a home run. He knocked in two runs and scored three times.
The next day, he collected two hits — one a double — and scored a run. He followed that with another two-hit game, one a double, and a walk.
In his three games, Nalesnik is hitting .583 (7-for-12) with four runs scored.
London is 9-6 and tied for third in the IBL standings.
The IBL is a Canadian independent league, which features eight teams. Clubs consist of college players or former professionals from North America.
