5K benefits Relay for LIfe

Where’s the Finish 5K will be held June 23 at Tamaqua Area High School. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with the 5K slated for 8 a.m. There is also a free kids run around the track. This run/walk benefits the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, which will be held that day from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Age group awards will be given to runners as well as well as the top five walkers.

“We are excited to host this event. It’s a great opportunity to take to the track, whether you are looking for some friendly competition or get some exercise. The most important part is the fact that we are raising money to help find a cure — and the finish line — for this deadly disease,” said Chairwoman Diane O’Donnell.

Cost is $25. To register, contact O’Donnell at diane9@ptd.net or call 570-778-8508.
