Tamaqua has announced dates for its physicals and random drug testing registration. All sports and cheerleading for the 2018-19 school year will be done on these dates.

Physicals will be conducted in the middle school nurse’s office, while registration for the random drug testing will be at the athletic center. Both the physicals and the drug testing registration will be held on the same dates at the same times. Students can do them in any order.

Any student in grades 7-12 who intends to participate in any athletic activity, non-athletic club, band, or nationally chartered organization, and any student who applies to park on school property, must register for drug testing.

Following is the schedule:

Tuesday, June 12

All sports/cheerleading — Grades 7-8-9 (8-9:30 a.m.); Grades 10-11-12 (9:30-11:30 a.m.)

Thursday, July 19

All sports/cheerleading) — Grades 7-8-9 (8-9:30 a.m.); Grades 10-11-12 (9:30-11:30 a.m.)

Monday, Aug. 6

All sports/cheerleading) — All grades (8-10 a.m.)

NOTE

- The Aug. 6 date is a make-up for student/athletes that cannot attend either of the other dates. There will be no drug testing registration on the make-up date.
