Monroe man jailed on active warrant

A Monroe County man was jailed after he was picked up on an active criminal warrant.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported that officers responded to the 100 block of Bendixen Circle, Cresco, on May 27 around 1 a.m. for a possible domestic dispute.

On scene, officers found Troy Ashby, 26, of that address. A check revealed he had a warrant for his arrest issued out of the county sheriff’s office. He also had an additional warrant out of the Hunterdon County, New Jersey, prosecutor’s office for carrying a firearm with hollow point bullets. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrants.
