May 30, 1952 — Gene Moser’s RBI single in the top of the 11th inning chases home Jim “Buck” Rader with the go-ahead and eventual winning run as Mauch Chunk edges Tamaqua, 3-2, in a Tri-County League contest. Rader is hit by a pitch to open the 11th and moves to second on a sacrifice bunt. Moser slaps a single to left to break the tie score. Dick Denesevich, who pitches all 11 frames, sets down Tamaqua in the bottom of the inning to preserve the win. Denesevich allows just six hits and strikes out 10. The winners also receive a hit and run scored from Lowell Swartz and Roy Gover.
