Woman faces several charges after assaulting police officer

A woman is in trouble after she was found to be drunk, caused a disturbance and hurt a Summit Hill police officer over the weekend.

Valerie Nattress, 38, no address listed, was arrested by Summit Hill police on Friday.

According to police, at around 10:10 p.m. officers received a complaint of an unwanted person at a home on East White Street.

When speaking to Nattress, she refused to identify herself and said she was a police officer in the town and also that she was an agent of “multiple things.”

She was also drinking a can of beer and yelling and tried to walk away from police multiple times.

Nattress then ran but was stopped by officers. As they tried to take her into custody, she resisted and began hitting and kicking at the officers. One officer suffered an injury.

Nattress faces charges of aggravated assault on a police officer, two counts of simple assault, resisting arrest, criminal trespass, false identification to law enforcement, persistent disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
