Man charged with taking wallet, gift cards, cash

A McAdoo man is facing multiple charges after he broke into a Nesquehoning home.

On April 10, Nesquehoning patrolman Carl Breiner was called for a possible burglary at a residence on West High Street.

He spoke with the victim, who said someone had taken his wallet, a gift card worth $150 and $50 in cash. In addition, the victim said he saw charges on his credit card and there had been a cash withdrawal at Walmart in Hazle Township that he had not authorized.

The victim told police that the burglary took place between April 2 and 3 and suspected his son, Dean Tessitore Jr., 26, of South Hancock Street, had entered his home and took his wallet while he was sleeping as there were no signed of forced entry.

State police in Hazleton, who were investigating the charges at the Walmart, were able to find through surveillance that Tessitore did make the purchases and cash withdrawal at the store.

Tessitore is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.
