Rush Township supervisors also took the following actions on Thursday:

• Adopted a resolution requesting a Greenways Trails and Recreation Program grant of $201,280 from Commonwealth Financing Authority for Grier City Playground improvements.

• Approved an application for payment No. 3 in the amount of $93,589, and payment No. 4 (final) in the amount of $21,475 pending favorable review by the engineer.

• Authorized board Chairman Shawn Gilbert to execute an agreement between the board and SEDCO pertaining to the improvements to be constructed in the Tidewood East and West Industrial Parks through an ARC grant received by SEDCO.

• Approved John (Jack) Cusatis to fill a vacancy on the Rush Township Zoning Board.

• Announced the spring leaf and branch collection schedule as follows: April 23-27, areas south of Route 54 and east of Route 309; April 30-May 4, areas north of 54 and east of 309; May 7-11, areas south of 54 and west of 309; May 14-18, areas north of 54 and west of 309, including the areas of Quakake and Grier City.
