Rain barrel workshop in Whitehall

Save water by installing a rain barrel. Rain barrels sit underneath a downspout to collect water from the roof each rain event. The water can be saved and used to water plants in your yard.

By using a rain barrel you can help save drinking water resources, decrease water and sewer bills, utilize higher quality water for plants and reduce polluted runoff from storms.

On Saturday, join master gardeners and master water stewards for a rain barrel workshop at the Whitehall Township Building Public Works Garage, 3219 MacArthur Blvd, Whitehall.

This workshop will guide you through the process of constructing your own fully functioning rain barrel.

There is a fee. To register online, visit https://bit.ly/2Ho14f2 or call 877-345-0691.
