Pascoe leads Panthers past Weatherly

Megan Pascoe helped Panther Valley post a win over Weatherly on Tuesday.

Megan Pascoe had a big day in the circle and at the plate to propel Panther Valley to a 6-2 Schuylkill League Division 3 win over Weatherly.

Pascoe had four hits - three singles and a double - while also recording four strikeouts. Sydney Clouser and Chloe Miller also had two hits apiece for the Panthers.

Corra Chincola, Shannon Frye and Hailey Wenner all had two hits for the Wreckers. Wenner recorded six strikeouts without allowing a walk.

Lourdes-Lehighton

Samantha Gruber hurled five strong innings and Lehighton rolled to a 15-2 non-league win over Lourdes.

Gruber allowed just five hits and one walk while recording 10 strikeouts for the Indians (2-2, 1-1). Heidi Greene and Makayla Nothstein had three hits apiece for Lehighton, while Alexis Scott, Ryanne Hoffman and Rachel Serfass contributed two hits.

Marian-Mahanoy Area

Lyndsey Reinoehl’s RBI was enough for Marian to top Mahanoy Area 1-0 in a Schuylkill League Division 3 matchup.

Reinoehl drove in the run in the top of the fifth inning and finished 3-for-4 at the plate. Reinoehl also struck out 14 and surrendered just four hits in seven innings of work in the circle. Mia Nemeth was 2-for-4 with two singles, a stolen base, and a run scored.

Palmerton-Pen Argyl

Palmerton rallied for a 4-3 Colonial League win over Pen Argyl.

The Blue Bombers scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning, with Baylee Guedes coming home on a wild pitch to score the winning run.

Guedes finished 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Kailah Altemose was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Palmerton starting pitcher Alexis Merkel recorded 11 strikeouts.

Pleasant Valley jumped on Pocono Mountain West early and cruised to an 11-1 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference win in five innings.

Danny McEvoy, Trevor Knappenberger (two RBIs), Dallas Greenzweig (four RBIs, two doubles) and Evan Bond had two hits apiece for the Bears, who led 5-0 after the first inning and added six runs in the bottom of the third.

Aaron Mason went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI for the Colts. Alex Kubishin, Max Nolter, Brandon Cann and Matt Doherty all added a hit and an RBI. Seth Derr scored three runs, while Dante Agosti and Cann both scored two runs apiece.
