Coaldale citations

Coaldale police released information on several recent citations.

• Tina Morgan, 46, of Pottsville, was cited for providing false identification and flight to avoid prosecution after a traffic stop on March 11. Morgan was a front-seat passenger in the car and provided officers with a false name and date of birth.

• Kevin Gieniec, 33, of Summit Hill, was cited for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on March 10. Gieniec was riding a bicycle, without any lights, at 10 p.m. When asked if he had anything illegal, he told officers he had a small amount of crystal meth, a weed pipe and two crystal meth pipes. The items were confiscated.

• Jayne A. Chapman, 60, of Lansford, was cited for theft by unlawful taking, theft by deception and receiving stolen property in connection with an employee related theft.

Chapman was employed at Pappy’s Mini Mart on Feb. 22 when video surveillance captured her rigging a monthly raffle drawing for gas cards. She declared herself the winner of the raffle and claimed the cards valued at $100.

When questioned, the defendant admitted her actions and made full restitution to the mini mart.
