Carbon County commissioners

Carbon County Commissioners filled three seats on two boards during their weekly meeting on Thursday.

Beverly Zipp of Lehighton was appointed to fill an unexpired term on the housing authority. She will serve until Dec. 31.

Dorothy Eberts of Andreas and Commissioner William O’Gurek were reappointed to the Carbon-Monroe-Pike Mental Health/Developmental Services Advisory Board. They will serve until March 31, 2021.

Other business

The commissioners also acted on the following items:

• Accepted the resignations of Colby S. Chew of Lansford, corrections officer, effective March 8; Suzanne M. Connely of Tamaqua, special deputy sheriff trainee, effective March 26; and Ryan A. Richards of Nesquehoning, project coordinator for planning and development, effective April 6.

• Approved changes of status for Joseph P. Gannecilli of Tamaqua, from part-time corrections officer to part-time corrections officer/Teamsters, effective April 9; and Amanda C. Loudon of Lehighton, from part-time corrections officer/Teamsters to corrections officer, effective April 9.
