State police at Lehighton served an outstanding warrant on a Kunkletown man at 4:51 p.m. March 13, taking him into custody and also arresting him for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
Police said they initially received negative results after knocking on the door at 104 Farrier Lane, Eldred Township, but a neighbor advised them the 50-year-old man wanted for failure to appear in court had recently arrived home and was inside the residence.
When police pursued and made contact with the man, he was taken into custody and found to have a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamines and a smoking pipe in his possession, resulting in the additional charges.
