A Monroe County teen is facing drug counts following a traffic stop on Saturday.

State police at Stroudsburg said a 17-year-old boy from Kunkletown was stopped at 1:39 a.m. along North Fifth Street near McConnell Street in Stroudsburg for a traffic violation.

At the stop, troopers said they discovered the teen had in his possession controlled substances and drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody and taken to the county prison for processing.
