3 cited after Monroe incident

Three women were cited following an incident at a Monroe County store.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 4:39 p.m. on Jan. 25 they responded to Bill’s Shop Rite in Mount Pocono for a reported retail theft. Police were advised that three women fled the store.

Police spoke with management who advised them that the three women entered the store and were observed concealing various items. When confronted, the three attempted to flee the store. One of the women pushed a manager into a display case breaking the glass.

During the altercation the women left her purse behind with her identification.

The three were later identified as Jenay Stevens, 24, Tatyana Treynac Stevens, 19, and Carla Garrett-Edwards, 43, all of old 3144 Hamlet Drive, in Tobyhanna.

The three have been charged with criminal conspiracy – retail theft, criminal mischief, harassment and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
