State police report on incidents

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents

• State police are investigating a burglary that happened between March 2 and 5 at home in East Penn Township.

The victim is a 90-year-old woman, who reported someone entered her residence along Picnic Woods Road without using force and stole jewelry.

• A 46-year-old man from West Easton was arrested for public drunkenness after an incident at 7:47 p.m. March 3 at the Blue Mountain Ski Area, 1660 Blue Mountain Drive, Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said he was under the influence of alcohol to a degree that he caused a disturbance at the resort. His name was not released by police.

• A criminal mischief incident that took place between 5 and 10 p.m. Saturday in Ross Township. The victim is a 55-year-old resident of Chestnut Drive North in the township. Police said several mailboxes were damaged in the area.

• A criminal mischief incident that happened between 8 p.m. March 7 and 12:30 p.m. March 8 on Kunkletown Road in Eldred Township.

Police said the Kunkletown resident reported someone damaged her black 2012 GMC Acadia.

• An Effort man reported a criminal mischief incident at 5:38 p.m. Feb. 23 on Dorshimer Road in Polk Township. State police said the suspect arrived at the that location and caused damage to the victim’s farm field with a pickup.

• State police are investigating a complaint that someone fired a gun at a home in Towamensing Township. The incident happened between Feb. 21 and March 1 along Preacher’s Camp Road. The victim is a 40-year-old Hershey man.

He said someone fired the weapon, resulting in the bullet striking a window of the residence.

• A Bowmanstown man reported someone damaged the side door to his home in an incident that took place between 8:30 p.m. March 4 and 9:06 p.m. March 6. The victim is a resident of the 300 block of Ore Street.

• State police said a burglar fled a home in Kunkletown borough when the victim arrived at the home in the 100 block of Dogwood Lane. The incident happened between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21.

The intruder entered the residence through a broken window.
