A Pottsville man was killed in a one-vehicle crash at 1:48 p.m. Sunday.

State police at Frackville said the crash occurred along Route 54, just west of Lavelle Road, in the village of Locustdale, Butler Township.

Troopers said Thomas Barlow, 69, of 383 Peacock St., was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup eastbound when the truck veered to the right and drove off the road. The truck then struck a wooden fence and a parked, unattended, vehicle before striking a home.

Barlow was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing, troopers said.
