A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident reported on Thursday at 5:39 a.m. along Weston Place Road in Shenandoah.

State police at Frackville said Joseph Velousky, 31, of Shenandoah, was observed prowling on three properties and attempting to enter vehicles on the properties. He then walked east along Weston Place Road and attempted to enter other vehicles parked in the neighborhood.

Troopers said Velousky was apprehended a short time later about four blocks east of the scene.

He was charged with loitering and prowling at night and attempted theft from a motor vehicle. He is currently an inmate in the county prison in Pottsville.
