One person injured in three-vehicle crash

Three vehicles were damaged in a chain-reaction crash at 5:34 p.m. Sunday on Route 901 in Cass Township. State police at the Frackville barracks investigated.

Police said the crash happened when a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Katherine E. Slane, 61, of Pottsville, failed to stop for two vehicles that were stopped in front of her car in the westbound lane of traffic. The Malibu struck a 2015 Mitsubishi operated by Keith B. Cook, 35, of Bloomsburg, pushing it into a 2015 Honda CRV driven by Edward T. Palamar, 66, of Pottsville.

Police said Slane sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pottsville in the Minersville ambulance.

Neither of the other drivers, nor three passengers with Cook, were injured.
