Monroe man picked up on warrants

A Monroe County man was arrested on outstanding warrants recently.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 6:04 p.m. Feb. 16 they were dispatched to 127 Monomonock Road, in Cresco, for a report of a disturbance in progress, possibly a domestic incident.

The officers heard a man arguing with someone inside Apartment 2. When officers knocked on the door and the man asked who was there, the officer told him police. The man stopped talking and could be heard walking away from the door.

The man refused to open the door. It was later determined that the man was Richard Hallet, 27, of 2454 Winding Way, Tobyhanna. A check revealed Hallet had two active arrest warrants for terroristic threats and simple assault.

Hallet eventually opened the door and was taken into custody. He was then placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrants.
