A Monroe County man is in jail for violating a protection from abuse order.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they were dispatched to 5347 Lockwood Drive in Tobyhanna at 4:04 p.m. Feb. 16.

The woman there said Michael McSwain, 27, had entered the home and was told he was not allowed there because of the Protection from Abuse order.

McSwain left the residence but was located on Country Place Drive near Burnside Drive. McSwain told officers he was there to pick up some belongings.

He also admitted he had been served with the PFA, which prohibited him from being at the address.

He was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville for arraignment.
