Dense fog this morning; use caution

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EST Tuesday.

Visibilities are one quarter mile or less at times, making travel very difficult.

The latest forecast:

Tuesday: Patchy drizzle before 10am. Areas of dense fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night: Patchy drizzle after 10pm. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Southwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Wednesday: A chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night: A chance of rain, mainly after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 38. North wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
