I-380 closed in Monroe because of icy conditions

Interstsate 380 is closed in both directions between Interstate 80 and Exit 8 due to icy roadways. Be aware of icy conditions throughout all of Monroe County due to freezing rain.

According to the National Weather Service,  patchy light freezing drizzle will pass through the Lehigh Valley, Pocono Mountains, and northern New Jersey early this morning, and will result in patchy areas of black ice on roads through around daybreak this morning. Motorists should exercise caution and leave extra time for the morning commute.

The day will become partly sunny, with a high near 47. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 8 mph in the morning.

Rain likely, mainly between 8pm and 2am. Patchy fog after midnight. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 41. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
