A driver and four passengers escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:37 p.m. Sunday on Forest Inn Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said Xuhua Zhang, 34, of Philadelphia, was driving the 2017 Ford Explorer northbound near the intersection with Hahn’s Dairy Road when she lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the roadway and crash into a guide rail located in front of 3695 Forest Inn Road.

Police said the vehicle was leaking gasoline and sustained disabling damages to its undercarriage.
