Crashes investigated by state police at Fern Ridge

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

•A two-vehicle crash was reported at 11:04 a.m. on Feb. 2 along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Troopers said a 2018 Nissan Altima, operated by Mushka Blumberger, 28, of Canadensis, rear-ended a 2003 Dodge Caravan driven by Shannon P. Kane, 49, of Jim Thorpe.

Troopers said Blumberger and three children, ages 1, 4 and 6 all hsd minor injuries and were taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg, by West End Ambulance. Troopers said Kane had a possible injury but did not indicate if she required medical attention.

Blumberger was cited for following too closely.

• A one-vehicle crash was reported at 4:56 p.m. on Sunday along Route 715 in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Herminio Dejesus, 64, of Stroudsburg, was driving a 1999 Lexus RX300 southbound when he lost control on the snow-covered roadway and struck a boulder along the right berm. After striking the boulder, the Lexus flipped over onto the driver’s side and came to rest facing northeast.

Dejesus was not injured. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
