Historical calendars celebrate Lansford, Tamaqua

The Lansford Historical Society and the Tamaqua Historical Society are each selling unique calendars to celebrate the 250th anniversary of anthracite.

The calendars are $10 and are available at area businesses.

Photographer Scott Herring, the self-proclaimed “Last Anthracite Photographer,” worked with several different towns to create the collector edition calendars.

Tamaqua calendars can be purchased at the Tamaqua Historical Society Museum and at Tinks Antiques on South Railroad Street.

Lansford calendars are available at Valley Athletic Supply, Frank Gustus Barber Shop, Emil’s Barber Shop and Panther Valley Lumber as well as the Lansford Historical Society Museum.

The Lansford Historical Society will mail calendars for $14. Send a check to Lansford Historical Society, P.O. Box 44, Lansford, PA 18232.

Other 2018 calendars include the Shenandoah Area, Macungie and Lehigh Gorge.
