Second driver in Rt. 443 crash dies

A second victim in Thursday’s crash on Route 443 has died.

Mahoning Township Police said Friday afternoon that Tina Martin, 57, of New Ringgold, had died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Martin was the driver of a Chevy Blazer which was struck head-on when a Chevy Malibu crossed the double-yellow line on Route 443 near the intersection with Clinic Road.

She was airlifted from the crash and taken to St. Luke’s Bethlehem Campus.

The crash occurred around 9 a.m. Thursday just west of Normal Square.

Martin’s passenger, 65-year-old Roland Martin, also of New Ringgold, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest.

The driver of the other vehicle, 59-year-old Warren Hile Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hile was traveling with a dog who was also killed in the crash.
