Light snow Tuesday, more Thursday-Friday

Light snowfall accumulations are expected on Tuesday. Minor travel impacts from the snow are expected for a majority of the region.

However, a higher impact is possible during the morning commute, primarily at higher elevations in eastern Pennsylvania where the

potential for snow to accumulate on roads is greatest.

There is a potential for rain to change to snow Thursday into Friday. Snowfall amounts and impacts are highly uncertain at this time.

Here is the latest forecast:

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Northeast wind around 7 mph.

Tonight: A chance of light snow, mainly after 5am. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tuesday: Snow with a chance of light snow before noon, then snow likely, mainly between noon and 2pm. High near 31. Light north wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 12. Northwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 30. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 24.

Thursday: A chance of snow before 11am, then a chance of rain and snow between 11am and 2pm, then a chance of rain after 2pm. Cloudy, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday Night: A chance of rain before 8pm, then rain and snow likely between 8pm and 11pm, then snow likely after 11pm. Cloudy, with a low around 24. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday: A chance of snow before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 29. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
