Allentown police are searching for a 33-year-old woman reported last seen by her family last week.

The woman has been identified as Maria Mendez-Maldonado, who also goes by the alias “Maria Rosario.” She is being described as 5 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds and having black hair.

Mendez-Maldonado last had contact with her family on Jan. 15. She recently made several statements to family and friends that “show cause to be concerned for her welfare,” police said.

Police also said Mendez-Maldonado has a prior drug history and could be staying with friends or at a homeless shelter. She did make a reference of possibly staying at an unknown location in McAdoo, Schuylkill County, but police said that information has yet to be confirmed.
