Snowy Saturday, wind chill advisory New Year's Eve

A snowy morning is at hand for much of eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey with snow accumulations just about everywhere by 9 am.

The heaviest snow should occur from near Philadelphia eastward across southern and central New Jersey. Prepare for slippery travel on all untreated surfaces this morning.

Snow this morning and midday will create slippery travel on all untreated surfaces. Scattered snow showers late this afternoon and evening may add another dusting.

A wind chill advisory is in effect from 6 pm. Sunday through 11 a.m. Monday.

Very cold wind chills are expected. Expect wind chills to range from 5 below to 20 below zero.

Today: Snow, mainly before 3pm. High near 24. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Tonight: A chance of snow showers, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 11. Wind chill values as low as -1. West wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 15. Wind chill values as low as -3. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 2. Wind chill values as low as -10. Northwest wind around 11 mph.

New Year's Day: A chance of snow showers after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 17. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
