Scherer, Bradley-Chambers, Wentz, Dailey named 3A All-State

Four Times News area players were named to the 2017 Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 3A All-State team.

District 11 runner-up Lehighton had three players — Cody Scherer, Taquan Bradley-Chambers and Nolan Wentz — selected to the team. Jim Thorpe was represented on the squad by Dylan Dailey.

Scherer, the Indians dual-threat quarterback, made the team at the athlete position, Bradley-Chambers was selected as a running back, and Wentz was picked as an offensive lineman.

The Olympians’ Dailey was named as a defensive lineman.

See Wednesday’s Times News for a story and photos of the All-State team.

The four players join Palmerton’s Kyle Kralik (2A) and Marian’s Zach Falls (1A), whose selections were announced previously, to give the area six All-State selections.
