Lehigh Township Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Turkey Hill in Cherryville on Sunday.

Township police said the incident occurred at around 9:56 p.m. and described the suspect as a Caucasian male, about 5-6, with a medium build, wearing a black ski mask and tan Carhart-like jacket with black pants and black boots.

Police said the suspect displayed a semi-automatic type of handgun and demanded cash from the cashier. The suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The Turkey Hill employee was the only person in the store at the time and was uninjured during the robbery.
