The Palmerton Area High School and Junior High will present their annual Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the high school auditorium, 3525 Fireline Road, Palmerton.

The concert will begin with the junior high band under the direction of Laura Cressley.

Highlights of the opening portion of the program will be a piece titled “Sleigh Bell Fantasy” and “Blue Christmas.”

The junior high chorus will be next. Included in their selections will be “Brand New” by Ben Rector and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”

The high school chorus will follow. Among the selections it performs will be a choral version of the “Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy” from the “Nutcracker Suite” and the Mariah Carey hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Both the junior high and high school choruses are directed by Natalie Madeira.

The high school band, directed Tom Heinick, will follow and will perform “The Syncopated Clock,” “Three Jazzy Kings,” “The Christmas Song” and more.

The evening of music will conclude with the bands, choruses and audience joining together in a singalong.

The concert is open to the public and admission is free.
