More snow on the way Monday-Tuesday

An Alberta Clipper storm will lay a swath of snow and slippery travel from the Upper Midwest to the Northeast early this week, according to Accuweather.

New England may be hit particularly hard with snow and travel disruptions from the storm on Tuesday.

The early week storm will be the strongest in a series of swift-moving systems from Canada, unleashing snow over a broader area.

Unlike previous clipper storms which weakened and deposited little snow east of the central Appalachians, the right ingredients may come together for this clipper to gain moisture and strength as it pushes toward the Atlantic Coast from Monday night through Tuesday.

Residents should prepare for travel delays to mount during this time.

The track of the storm may pull enough mild air into the Interstate-95 corridor for the event to be all rain or a mixture of rain and snow from Philadelphia to New York City and Boston.

Brutally cold air will settle in behind the snow, paving the way for another clipper, albeit much weaker, to move through late in the week.
