Completion of the D&L pedestrian bridge across the Lehigh River in Jim Thorpe moved a step closer on Wednesday with the movement of the first of six pre-assembled sections of the bridge from the upper county parking lot down to the bridge site where two large 500-ton capacity cranes were used to transfer sections across the river to the opposite bank.
