A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Horseshoe Bar & Grill Corp., 41 Main St., Junedale, Banks Township, was cited on Nov. 6 for selling liquor and/or malt or brewed beverages after its restaurant liquor license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.

This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
