Police respond to four incidents of harassment

State police at the Lehighton barracks report they were summoned recently to investigate four incidents of harassment. Police did not release names in these cases.

• Police said a 21-year-old Palmerton man will be cited after an incident at 3 p.m. Nov. 6 on Sheckler Lane in Lower Towamensing Township. The suspect followed the victim to his residence, where he called him names and pushed him. Police said a neighbor made the suspect leave the scene after he threatened the victim.

• Police said an unknown suspect who attempted to choke a Jim Thorpe man is facing harassment charges. The incident happened at 5:46 Nov. 6 in the 300 block of Forest Inn Road, Lower Towamensing Township. Police said the suspect was asked to leave a bar after the incident. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 610-681-1850.

• A 24-year-old Palmerton man was cited for harassment after an incident at 1:22 p.m. Nov. 13 on Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township. Police said the man grabbed a 21-year-old woman from Palmerton, causing a scratch and redness to her hand.

• A 36-year-old woman from Jim Thorpe is facing harassment charges after an argument turned physical at 6 p.m. Nov. 17 on Doney Drive in Towamensing Township. Police said the accused punched a 33-year-old woman from Palmerton in the face.
