Barry Isett adds to Stroudsburg staff

Barry Isett & Associates Inc., a multi-discipline engineering firm with an office in Stroudsburg, has added seven new employees to its civil, environmental, codes, municipal; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing departments; and the firm’s materials testing and special inspections group.

• Michael Seremula, of Slatington, joined the MEP department as a staff technician and will focus on drafting and designing with AutoCAD.

Before joining Isett, Seremula was an intern at Victaulic Co. in Easton, where he worked with various software to generate project drawings.

He was subsequently taken on full-time as a project facilitator for Construction Piping Services. A graduate of Millersville University, Seremula holds a bachelor’s degree in applied engineering and technology management.

• Granville “Grant” Cantrell, of Pottstown, has been hired as a staff technician in the Civil department where he will work as an AutoCAD designer. Cantrell is a student at Lehigh Carbon Community College and will earn his associate degree in drafting and design in December.

During the summer, he gained experience as a drafting associate for KSE Engineering in Quakertown.

Before pursuing his career in drafting, Cantrell served five years with the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserves as an infantry machine-gunner.

• Brian Kirchner, of Allentown, joined the materials testing and special inspections group as a construction inspector. He is active in the USMC Reserves and is stationed at Camp Geiger where he is attending the School of Infantry. Before his military enlistment, Kirchner had the opportunity to gain technical skills through the Diversified Career Opportunities program offered by Lehigh Career and Technical Institute.

Other new employees are: Shawn Merrill, of Zionsville, in the municipal department as a construction inspector; Taylor “Tess” Strayer, of Harleysville, joined Isett’s environmental department as a staff environmental scientist; Richard Halbom, of Souderton, joined the codes department as a code specialist and will be focusing on code enforcement within the Bucks County region; Mark Prout, of Orangeville, joined the codes Department as a code specialist and will be focusing on the Bloomsburg area.

Founded in 1977 in the Lehigh Valley by Barry E. Isett, the company now has additional offices in Wilkes-Barre, Hazleton, Allentown, Phoenixville, and Doylestown.
